  3. Mouth rot

  4. Injury in digestive system

  5. Organ failure

  6. Cancer or tumor in digestive system

On the other hand, there are benign explanations reasons for these issues:

  1. Brumation (period of winter dormancy)

  2. A cold tank environment

  3. Stress

  4. Ovulation in females

  5. Excessive exposure to light

If you notice any of these warning signs, here are some steps you can take to assist or provide relief to your leopard gecko:

  • Check and adjust the temperature of your leopard gecko’s tank, making sure it is placed in a spot with minimal exposure to sunlight and lighting.

  • Try a carnivorous reptile formula that can stimulate appetite and provide essential nutrients to your leopard gecko.

  • Give your leopard gecko a soothing lukewarm bath.

  • Contact a qualified vet immediately if the above measures do not work.
